Western Australia’s first festival in the spirit of Burning Man.
No one can recreate Burning Man, but we can build a city, a community and an identity that is unique to our people, our culture and our landscape. We want to bring together a group of fabulous people who love to create, party and burn in the spirit of Burning Man.

Australian born Astronaut Andy Thomas will be part of the Carnarvon Space Festival and open “Phase Two” of the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum in September.
Phase One of the museum was officially opened in June 2012 by former Apollo 11 Astronaut Buzz Aldrin to much fanfare. The two days ended up being one of Carnarvon’s biggest events in the town’s history with visitors coming to Carnarvon from all over Australia.
Phase Two sees the space museum expand from 70 sqm to 600sqm which allows for a new theatre, cafe and many more displays. The museum was founded to finally recognise the important role Carnarvon played in the NASA manned space program of the 1960’s and 1970’s and also to show the role of the OTC Satellite Earth Station.
Friday September 19 Andy Thomas will be the keynote speaker at a fundraising cocktail party which is to be held at the “Woolshed”. Saturday morning Andy will officially open Phase Two of the museum at the museum’s new home at the former OTC site at Browns Range.
